In an unusual step Web Works webmaster Pete has added the world famous WordPress blogging system to the front page of their gold plan web site plan. We caught up with him earlier to discover exactly what this move was about and what ramifications this might throw up.

When confronted with this flouting of general convention Mr Killackey said “My task is to set the trend, not to follow them” in one moment of complete madness that can only be described as sheer and utter hubris.

We all know you are supposed to put the interesting stuff at the back of the store so customers have to walk past a whole load of temptations before getting to the item they want.

“By adding the Site News CMS system to the front page my clients can use their web site like they use any social site, keeping their customers informed with latest news, specials and more.” said Mr Killackey.

“This means you can post regular posts like diary entries and every person who visits the web site will instantly get an idea of what’s going on, bringing about a sense of real-time life action, like a newspaper, every little story helps a customer get to know you a little better.

“Ultimately it is up to the client whether they want a blogging system at all. It makes sense to me that if you have your latest news right up front for potential customers to read they feel a sense of belonging.” said Mr Killackey.
